Valleluva wins the stallions-show in Germany
Every year German breeders look forward to the only stallions-show in Germany that takes place in Sögel in the north –west of Germany on the Dutch border. Also this year many private and State stud farms, have seized the opportunity to show their stallions to the great public. The dressage St. Georg Special category was won by Don Crusador (Don Bosco – Lauries Crusador xx) followed by Londonderry (Lauries Crusador xx-Warkant), Dr. Doolittle (Donnerhall-Lauries Crusador xx) and Farewell III (Fidermark I-Rosenkavalier) , in the most important jumping category Italian horses were very successful ! After the first manche only 4 stallions had finished without penalties achieving the final barrage. Staron (Stakkato –Calypso II) ridden by the Swedish horsewoman Linn Zakariasson got soon the first place outdistanced the second placed by a second, he seemed to have won the competition but finally Acorado II (Acord II-Corrado) with Hilmar Meyer managed to win his stable mate by 0,80 seconds ! Acorado II confirmed his great form after his placement at S*** Grand Prix in Verden two weeks before. In the final ranking Acorado II finished in first place, Staron in second place and Celle state stallion Satisfaction (Stakkato-Calypso II) in third place, followed by Stolzenberg (Stakkato-Sandro) and Charming Boy (Contendro I-Caletto I). A confirmation these two stallions, even though they are in reproductive activity for six months a year in Italy, they can stand any agonistic comparison at international level.
